Katja completed her law studies at the University of Vienna (Juridicum) in 2023 (Mag. Iur.) and holds a Master’s degree in information- and media law from the University of Vienna (LL.M.).
Throughout her studies, Katja gained practical experience at law firms. In 2022, she joined the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law at the University of Vienna as an organisational and project assistant, and continued as a research associate following the completion of her law degree – contributing to EU-funded research projects with a focus on IT law, data protection and Artificial Intelligence.
After completing her judicial clerkship in the jurisdiction of the Higher Regional Court in Vienna, Katja joined the team of petsche pollak in May 2026. As an associate, she works on complex white-collar crime or compliance matters, including those involving IT law.
Katja is a (co-)author of various publications and lectures on IT-criminal law at the University of Vienna.
She is fluent in German and English.
Outside the office, Katja is most often found exploring the mountains with her dog Sherlock, swimming, gardening, or reading books.
